- PolyScan XL is designed to measure parts up to 1,300 mm, combining 12 cameras and 12 projectors to provide 210 effective scanning units. It is a perfect match for medium to large aerospace casting parts or automotive sheet metal components. Complete inspection of parts of this size is completed in just 6 minutes. The envelope design and simplicity of automation also means that it can be easily integrated into a production line, while being 100% safe for operators.
- PolyScan XL 8 is designed to measure parts up to 2,000 mm. This larger version of the XL design combines 16 cameras and 16 projectors to provide 376 effective scanning units.
- PolyScan XH is designed to measure parts up to 6,500 mm, combining 2,380 scanning units. It is a versatile measurement system, well suited for automotive sheet metal components ranging from a door to a complete body side. The system can have a hybrid scanning volume configuration: use only the central scanning units in small areas for faster cycle time, or use all scanning units for longer components.
SOFTWARE
The development of the envelope scanner has been made possible by the enormous amount of R&D that Polyrix has invested in developing its software since 2005. At the core of the process, PolyScan Control Center (PCC) manages data acquisition from all scanner units and then generates the 3D models. PolyScan operation is simplified by the simple interface of Automation Manager or third-party software plug-ins (e.g., PolyWorks | Inspector Plug-in).

PolyScan™ is fully scalable. Polyrix built its core software to control an arbitrary number of scanner units placed in arbitrary positions (but then precisely calibrated). This allows us to customize the scanner for any particular need.
