CMRobot
In process 3D scanning
CMRobot is an advanced in-process inspection hardware and software solution. It is based on the integration of a 3D scanner on a flexible multi-axis robot.
This non-contact 3D measurement system uses 3D laser scanner technology without the use of targets or tracking systems . without the need for targets or tracking systems. A contact probe can be incorporated into the laser scanner.
This robotic optical measurement solution will give you efficient quality control in your manufacturing process, performing fast and accurate measurements in a fully automated way directly on the shop floor. In addition, the generated data can be easily integrated into the workflow.
CMRobot combines:
- Robot manufacturer Stäubli
- Kreon Zephyr II Blue scanner with optical and touch sensor
- Metrolog X4 i-robot software
The CMR solution is available for use with the TX range of Stäubli robots (TX 60, TX 90 and TX 200). Using a Staubli TX 200 with touch probe, you can achieve an accuracy of +/- 100 μm. When scanning with the Zephyr II Blue scanner, the accuracy is +/- 150 μm (this data is effective for a measuring volume of one cubic meter).
This solution has been developed in collaboration between Staübli, Kreon and Metrologic.
