MECANIZADOS IÑIGUEZ uses a Mitutoyo Crysta Apex S7106 machine to verify aeronautical components.
Tecnology: Mitutoyo Crysta Apex S
The aeronautical sector, including the manufacturers and auxiliary industry work jointly on the optimization of processes to yield greater benefits to the sector. Being equipped with CNC automated technology is an upward trend as well as an essential requirement in the process for the verification of components, in order to achieve high levels of competitiveness.
Currently, the projects of the Airbus A380 and A350 are those generating an increased workload for Mecanizados Iñiguez. The Seville-based company has acquired a latest model machine Crysta Apex S7106 from Mitutoyo for the verification of parts made mainly of aluminium, fabricated using the technology of 3 and 5 axes, either against drawing or CAD model. The verifications of distances, thicknesses, geometries and surfaces are the main requirements covered by these machines.
In addition to these projects, this company completes its workload with other projects from Airbus (A320, A400M, A330MRTT, 295 and 235) and others for Embraer and Bombardier.
The automatic CMM of Mitutoyo has allowed them to increase the working site (705 mm. x 1.005 mm. x 605 mm.), being capable of dealing with internally larger sized and, moreover, the CNC functionality of the machine has enabled them to optimize the verification times and increase the time capacity of the quality department.
Mecanizados Iñiguez trusts in the measurement technology of Mitutoyo, and with this new acquisition in the quality department, they are equipped with the second machine together with the manual machine Euro M 544.
