Weld bead inspection is a crucial process in body shell manufacturing, as it ensures that weld quality meets the required standards to guarantee vehicle safety and durability.
Today, every process in the production value chain requires verification to ensure optimal product quality. For this reason, industrial robots are playing a very important role, automating metrology tasks within the production line.
Sariki proposes an innovative solution that combines laser scanner technology connected to a multi-axis robot that provides fast and accurate measurement for the weld beads in your production process. Weld bead inspection with the VIRO WSI system reliably detects all weld defects in a body shell, both in visible and invisible welds. Even the slightest defect is detected immediately after the welding process. This means that corrective actions can be implemented quickly.
VITRONIC uses laser triangulation technology. This allows rapid inspection with high 3D resolution of laser weld beads and fine welded joints. Detecting beads presents a particular challenge with flat body shell beads. VIRO WSI clearly identifies the most insignificant geometric and cosmetic deviations.
